In 2010, Sarah Kauss launched S’well in an effort to rid the world of plastic water bottles. Since then, the brand has acquired millions of dedicated fans and followers and has launched numerous successful collaborations with fashion brands, corporate powerhouses, artists and philanthropic charities. Having achieved rapid growth on their original eCommerce platform, the brand was in search of their new online flagship home which they found in Magento Enterprise Edition, 2.1. The platform would allow for continued growth and expansion.
In coming to One Rockwell, S’well was looking to capitalizing on their position as the “it” fashion accessory – one that looks great and gives back. Additionally, it was crucial that the new site be educational in regards to various features and functions of the product, functionality that makes the S'well bottle so unique and effective within its competitive space. One Rockwell proposed a lifestyle destination that focused on education around lifestyle benefits, emphasis on product anatomy and function, and above all a space to immerse one's self within S'well's company mission.
S'well had experienced exceptional digital growth; proper infrastructure set up and deployment planning was critical. In addition, thorough analytic discussions and third party integration planning was key. In collaboration with a highly-engaged team on the client side, One Rockwell discussed approaches to ensure the listing page was robust when considering limited SKUs, that out of stock functionality for such an on-demand product was agreed upon, and that any features that the brand invested in would best digitally present the unique functionality and usage of the product.
The S'well team was heavily involved with the One Rockwell design and development team, through each phase of the project. By responsible and respectful collaborations, One Rockwell team immersed itself in the brand heritage and mission, whereas the S'well team diligently became experts within the platform and the digital ecosystem.
Innovative search, product configurators, and quick shop functionality within the listing page encouraged effective product browsing and exploration. Seamlessly integrated content and commerce ensured smart product education, and allowed for the marketing team to effectively dialogue with their growing cult-like community.
Launched in March 2017, the new Swellbottle.com is a successful integration of fashion and function, complimentary to the S’well bottle itself. A comprehensive integration of data and analytics paired with best-practice UX and design, the Magento 2.1 deployment will accommodate aggressive business and revenue goals.
